Neuropsychological assessment is a comprehensive assessment of cognitive and behavioral functions using a set of standardized tests as well as clinical procedures. These functions help to elucidate brain development. Various areas of functioning are systematically assessed, such as speech/language skills, visual/spatial processing, memory and learning, reasoning/problem-solving, regulatory skills and executive control processes (e.g. attention, planning, organization), motor skills, social/emotional/behavioral functioning, adaptive skills, and academic achievement.
